Artistic horse’s head in 14kt gold-filled wire… simple, but stylish and understated.
Show off your love of all things equine with this ultra-simple rendition of a horse’s head, a flowing single-wire scultpure that will “pop” against any dark clothing.
The pendant is asbout 48mm high and 33mm wide if measured upright. It hangs naturally on an angle (depending on the length of chain) so it will occupy a little more width and a little less height.
The chain on which the pendant was photographed is not included.
The technique of wire-wrapping is not new – it dates back to the early Egyptians. Wire-wrapping uses no solder or glues, the wire ends being neatly hidden away wherever possible. Because it is handmade with few tools and no machines, it is a one-off. Although there may be similar pieces, it is virtually impossible for me to repeat a pattern exactly because of the very nature of wire-wrapping.
It is also, by definition, imperfect but that’s part of the beauty.
When looking at the photos, be sure to also refer to the description for the colour, because computer monitors differ so much and can do strange things to colours.
